Supervisor: Plant Support Manager
Hours: 5-15 hours a week
Schedule: Flexible schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Overall purpose and objective of this position:
The purpose of this internship is to introduce the student to the technology used in the manufacturing environment and how these systems can be used to improve the efficiency. Specific areas of focus will be on digital documentation, automated reporting, and continuous improvement. Student will also learn about:
- Redzone production and documentation system
- Effective reporting strategies and key performance indicators
- Return on investment and purchasing decisions
- How to perform plant walkthroughs and data collection
- Developing personal leadership skills
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Personal skills to communicate with those inside and outside the company in a positive manner
- Web research
- Curiosity about technology and automation
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong attendance and work ethic
