SUMMARY
Individual will assist InterMountain Technology Department staff with basic helpdesk and entry-level duties.
KNOWLEDGE
This is a temporary summer position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are a brief representation of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Individual will have a valid driver license and reliable insured transportation for required travel for IMESD business.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Proof of current school enrollment required in an IMESD component school district. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of IT staff, assist with a variety of computer hardware, software, and related peripherals.
- Work with IMESD InterMountain Technology department staff to solve specific technology problems.
- Create, maintain, prioritize, schedule, and communicate a list of tasks to be completed and progress.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and staff.
- Continuously update knowledge of methods, industry standards, and equipment used.
- Collaborate with IT department technology personnel to address requests for service which include but are not limited to:
- Interpret customer requests for new or different services.
- Describe technology hardware, software, device features, or functionality.
- Address specific problems, present solutions, and options.
- Set up and move computers during normal summer rotations and as needed.
- Communicate effectively and politely both in person and on the phone.
- Handle sensitive and privileged information with the highest degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- Perform other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time to meet the usual and unusual demands placed on the organization.
