This is a student intern position with Morrow County Grain Growers.

The student will work 5-15 hours per week in a flexible schedule Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Overall purpose and objective of this position:

The purpose of this internship is to introduce the student to current workforce programs at Morrow County Grain Growers Inc. During the internship the student will be assisting with a wide range of duties in several of our divisions to introduce the student to various career opportunities and to build relationships within our community.

Scope of Work:

Agronomy Department/Precision Agriculture

• Assist with invoicing customers and inputting inventory into our financial software.
• Ride along with an agronomist visiting customers and writing recommendations.
• Assist the Precision Agriculture technician with service calls in the field.

Grain Department

• Assist with grain accounting by spending time in the marketing department processing daily transactions, and learning about the commodities market.
• Ride along and assist the Grain Operations Manager to gain a basic understanding of our grain facilities and how they operate.

Service Department

• Assist service technicians in the shop by learning a variety of mechanical skills.
• Ride along and assist a service tech to experience service calls and customer service techniques.
