OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION OFFICE INTERN (Heppner)

 

This is a student intern position for the 2021-22 school year. Intern will work 5-15 hours per week with a flexible schedule Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm.   

                             

 

 

Overall purpose and objective of this position:

The purpose of this internship is to introduce the student to OSU Extension Services throughout Morrow County. The intern will have the opportunity to work on events, marketing, and much more.

 

Job Description:

  • Works with Extension Office staff to coordinate and implement hands-on, educational program events and activities.
  • Participates in meetings, as appropriate and necessary, in preparation for planned events and activities.  Will include contacting participants, developing printed materials for distribution and could include teaching, training of other program presentations.
  • Will include writing news articles, maintaining the 4-H or Extension Office Facebook page, establishing Instagram and Twitter for county 4-H and other social media presence.
  • Conduct field work on an as-needed basis for agronomy agent
  • Intern will have their own office and computer to use

  • Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Outgoing and willing to work with people of all ages
  • Strong attendance and work ethic background
  • Social Media platform knowledge
  • 4-H or FFA experience a plus
