Summary
Oregon Trail REN is seeking an experienced, time-available administrator from the Intermountain region to co-develop and participate in a novice principal mentorship program. This position requires a flexible schedule, not to exceed 500 total hours, to be able to work with and communicate with the principals involved.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility and essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Individuals will hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable, insured transportation for travel in the Intermountain Education Service District region.
Education/Experience
- Currently or previously held Oregon Administrator license
- At least five years of administrative experience, building principal preferred

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Demonstrate strong personal management skills;
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills;
- Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, independent judgment and aptitude for handling and processing privileged information with professional integrity
- Basic Microsoft Office literacy and Google Suite literacy
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the REN coordinator and coordinating body to develop a mentor program for novice administrators;
- Observe and meet with administrators in the program;
- Support administrators in ability to utilize data in decision-making;
- Provide multiple modalities of personal connection: face-to-face, video, email, and other means of engaging in support
- Collaborate and problem solve with participating administrators on dilemmas as needed
- Data collection and analysis.
Evaluation
This position will be evaluated using InterMountain ESD’s evaluation cycle and associated forms and will report to the Oregon Trail REN Coordinator and Director of Teaching and Learning. |
