QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) years experience working in business or banking
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
SKILLS:
- Proficient in the use of computer, Internet based applications and a variety of software, including Excel, Word, Outlook and financial software including Quickbooks, Pentamation, and Infinite Vision
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully
- Ability to respectfully manage difficult situations, respond promptly to needs and solicit feedback to improve services
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time effectively
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitor own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance
- Ability to meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to adapt to change in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process payroll
- Process and pay all liabilities
- Create and submit quarterly payroll reports in accordance with business office practices.
- Process annual W-2 statements for staff
- Perform general accounting needs for assigned districts as part of the Business office team
- Monitor budget to ensure appropriate funds are available
- Process accounts payables and accounts receivables for assigned school districts
- Create purchase orders as needed
- Be available to others in the business department to answer questions related to appropriate processes and procedures of business office practices
- Assist Business Officer or Director with special projects as directed
- Perform other reasonable duties that from time to time may be assigned to meet the usual and unusual demands placed on the organization
